Hysson green tea produced from the first three leaves of the tea plant on the island of São Miguel (Azores Portugal) are collected in July and August when the sun is stronger and then combined with mint leaves. This tea has brownish color with a delicate aroma with a hint of mint and a flavor intense, it is very rich in tannins and antioxidants that bring benefits to the health. The substances present in green tea reduce LDL cholesterol levels ("bad" cholesterol), reduce the level of triglycerides, prevent the onset of cardiovascular disease, reduce cellular aging, contain polyphenols that are more powerful than vitamin C and E, they contain methylxanthines (caffeine, theobromine, theophylline) that act on drainage of excess fluids, have a hypoglycemic action reducing absorption of sugars, eliminate fats by enzymatic stimulation and increase bone density in menopausal women with strong action important remineralizing for bones and teeth. While the benefits of mint piperita brings to this mixture an anesthetic, analgesic, antiseptic action, a possible ability to dissolve stones in the gall bladder, an action decongestant and balsamic, reduces the volume of intestinal gases and has a purifying action.
